David Brown Commercial were able to move quickly to secure a new tenant for a former Garrandale Factory at the Northedge Business Park in Derby.

Garrandale went into administration in August 2021 which presented an opportunity for Greenbank Engineering Group, a specialist engineering group of companies providing design, manufacturing, supply and installation services to the bulk-handling, power, EFW, rail and water and waste water industries.

Working closely with administrators and Greenbank Michael Green, Chartered Surveyor at David Brown Commercial, was able to broker a new letting for the unit on behalf of Morgan Industrial Properties.

Michael Green commented: “When we had news that Garrandale were going into administration, we were able to liaise quickly with the administrators, Greenbank and the client to ensure that the unit was taken over as soon as was practical. Greenbank have purchased plant and equipment and have employed Garrandale staff and we are really pleased with the result for all parties and for the city”
