Andrew Nichols, Chartered Surveyor, RICS Registered Valuer and Principal at Gadsby Nichols, has joined David Brown Commercial as a consultant.

Andrew spent his career in commercial property working across the East Midlands. He was asked to head up the commercial department of what was then Gadsby Orridge in 2000 and became a director in 2006. He was instrumental in the appointment of the company to a number of bank lending panels as well building the agency, management and professional services divisions. The company rebranded to Gadsby Nichols in 2015 and has successfully traded both within the residential and commercial property markets.

Following the retirement of one of the director’s, the difficult decision was made to close the company. Andrew, however, was not ready to retire and with over 35′ years experience within the industry and an extensive client base the opportunity of working with a growing and professional surveying firm with similar principals was too good to turn down.

Andrew will work alongside the DBC team on commercial agency, valuation and landlord and tenant instructions.

Michael Green, Director at David Brown Commercial, said: “Andrew is well known and regarded in the local market, and his knowledge of Derby and the surrounding area is invaluable. We’re pleased to have him on board and, most importantly, it gives former Gadsby Nichols clients continuity.”

Andrew Nichols said: “It mattered to me that our commercial clients were properly looked after. I’ve known the team at David Brown Commercial for many years and have a lot of respect for them, and I’m looking forward to continuing to act for clients old and new.”
